Texas cities rank among America’s most affordable for renters

Texas ranks as the 10th most affordable state for renters, with average housing costs at 23.54% of monthly income. Four Texas cities—Seguin, Temple, San Marcos, and Longview—are among the top nationwide for rent affordability. Texas saw a 3.33% statewide rent decrease, with New Braunfels experiencing the largest drop at 11.53%. Flower Mound is the priciest Texas rental market, averaging $1,993 per month.
